1986
Music Machine, Inc., a retailer in professional audio and band
equipment expanded into professional sound and light contracting
business. For the next six years, known primarily as “Music
Machine” Concert Production Services, it went on to become one of
the premiere sound and lighting companies of the Pacific-Northwest.
1991
Music Machine incorporated ‘Concert Production Services' becomes
Concert Production Services, Inc.
September 1993
Music Machine sold all interest in Concert Production Services, Inc.
to its long time and original manager, Tom Fortier.Concert Production
Services and their staff continue in their pursuit of excellence in the
sound and lighting industry, this endeavor has created an increasing
demand for the services offered by CPS, Inc. This increased demand of
Concert Production Services, Inc. required the company to expand its
inventory and service spectrum.
1996
Concert Production Services purchased new equipment and formed a
partnership with Mark Hellinger of "Audio Pile Distributing"
enabling CPS to expand services to additional Arenas, Festivals, Fairs,
Universities, Conference and Trade Shows.
1999 thru 2004
Concert Production Services is upgrading and improving our inventory and
services offered to our clients.
2005
CPS has it's most extensive expansion since the company was
founded in 1987 (See "what's new"). This recent upgrade allows
CPS to service new markets in an expanding sound and lighting industry
while affording our existing clients and customers with the same
top-quality service and equipment they have always counted on from CPS.
One of CPS most popular aspects is that we are capable of providing for
multiple events simultaneously, CPS provides first class audio and lighting
equipment as well as a friendly and knowledgeable, full time audio and lighting
staff whose years of experience ensure that these events are dealt with in and
efficient and positive fashion.
2006
CPS is awarded the "Northwest Regional Sound Company of the
Year". This award also nominated CPS for the "Parnelli"
award held in Las Vegas Nevada. It was quite an honor to be included
in the six finalists for the regional division of North America.
2007
This is a landmark year for Concert Production Services. This is our
20th Anniversary and we are looking forward to another 20 years of
servicing our community and the Pacific Northwest.
2008 thru 2010
We have started moving further into the
digital world with our consoles, power amps
and processing. We are also upgrading our
monitor systems. We have also expanded our
installation capabilities by partnering with
Doug Norman from Broken Road Entertainment
as well as expanding our retail sales.
2011 thru 2012
The digital expansion continues. We have
sold our lighting to our partner Rob
Robertson of Spotlight Productions. This
move has radically improved and expanded our
production capabilities.
